St. Petersburg HVAC

Heating & Cooling in St. Petersburg, FL.

AAA Airwaves provides residential and commercial AC repair, installation, and maintenance in St. Petersburg, FL. St. Pete combines historic 1920s-era neighborhoods, where cooling has to be retrofitted into homes built without ductwork, with low-lying waterfront areas that saw heavy storm-surge flooding in 2024. We handle both: sensitive retrofits and flood-damaged system replacements.

Local Know-How

What Affects Your AC in St. Petersburg.

Historic bungalows

1920s homes in Kenwood and Old Northeast often lack attic space for ducts. Ductless and small-duct systems avoid major renovation.

Flood-zone equipment

In surge-prone areas like Shore Acres, replacement condensers may need to be raised above flood level.

Salt air on three sides

Surrounded by Tampa Bay and the Gulf, St. Pete units corrode faster than inland ones. Coil care matters.

FAQ

St. Petersburg HVAC FAQs.

Yes. AAA Airwaves answers emergency calls 24/7, 365 days a year, for homes and businesses in St. Petersburg and across Pinellas County. Call 813-918-0024 and a real technician picks up, not a call center.
Yes. Ductless mini splits are the most common solution for Kenwood and Old Northeast bungalows because they need only a small wall penetration per room. Small-duct high-velocity systems are another option when you'd rather not have wall-mounted indoor units.
If the outdoor unit or air handler was submerged, especially in saltwater, it very often needs replacing even if it restarted. Corrosion continues inside after the water recedes. Replacements in flood zones may also need the new unit raised, and we'll check the requirement for your address.
In FEMA flood zones, local building rules can require new mechanical equipment to sit at or above the flood elevation for the property. That protects the new system from the next surge. We confirm what applies to your address during the quote and include the platform or stand in the price.
It depends on what's wrong, your system's age and size, and the parts involved, so we don't quote a number without seeing the system. After a diagnostic visit in St. Petersburg, you get an upfront written estimate before any work begins, and 0% financing through Wisetack is available for qualified customers.
Most full system replacements need a permit and inspection. St. Petersburg is an incorporated city, so city addresses are permitted under its own process. As your licensed contractor (CAC1816350), we pull the permit and coordinate the inspection.
